Trustee Opening

TRUSTEE OPENING
After many years of dedicated service, Trustee Bonnie Cuthbert, has decided to step down as a Library Board Trustee. The Lansing Public Library is sad to lose such a vital part of the organization, but will now have an opening for an appointment to fulfill the seat until the spring election of 2027.
Under Illinois law, (75 ILCS 5/4-4) Local Library Act, all persons interested in becoming a library trustee must meet the following criteria 1) they have lived in the community for at least one year 2) have paid their library taxes, and 3) have not been convicted of a felony.
The Lansing Library Board of Trustees invites interested and qualified Lansing residents to submit a Letter of Interest describing your experiences and qualities that will make you the perfect candidate for the library board. Please submit your Letter of Interest no later than November 15, 2025 by 5:00pm.
You may bring the letter into the library or email it to lisak@lansingpl.org. Please mark it to the attention of the Library Director, Lisa Korajczyk. The Board of Trustees looks forward to meeting a variety of interested residents for the position and will choose a candidate that they best feel understands the mission and goals of the Lansing Public Library.
