Step #1. Place your holds to request items available at Lansing Library. 

Items owned only at other libraries are not available for curbside pickup.

Place your holds in the SWAN Mobile App, the online catalog, or by phoning the library.

Learn how to place a hold on an item.

Step #2. Wait for the library to contact you

Library staff gather available items and check them out to your library card.

Library staff will email you a receipt with instructions.  If you don't have an email address in your library account, the library staff will phone you to let you know your items are ready.

You have 7 days from the date of notification to arrange for pickup.

Step #3. After you are notified, Go to the Library

Drive to the library, and park in a numbered parking space on Indiana Avenue.  Remain in your vehicle to maintain social distancing.

Step #4. Use Curbside Communicator to alert the library you have arrived

Use the web-based interface on your smartphone.  Visit https://widget.uniquelibrary.com/configs/SWAN/lpl.html or click the Curbside Pickup link in the SWAN App.

Answer the prompts.

Step #5. Library staff delivers your items to your vehicle.

If you also have items to return, do not give them directly to staff but return items to the drive-up drop-box in the rear parking lot.
